5 Things For My September To Do List

5 Things For My September To Do List

Okay, so this post is going up a hell of a lot later than I would have liked. But hey, better late than never right? To me, this month feels really surreal – I honestly can’t my head around the fact that it’s September! Although I’m excited at the prospect of all things Autumnal, part of me is still clinging on to lighter evenings and Summer ciders (more on this here). The next few weeks are going to be pretty full on and I can’t wait to see what (the rest of) September has in store! Today I’m sharing 5 things for my September to do list.

Family Time | Anyone who knows me, will know how much of a family gal I am. I don’t tend to talk about it much, but I do find it really difficult living so far away from them all. I haven’t seen my clan (bar my mum) since June, so I’m really excited to go home this weekend! I also spent some quality time with two sets of my grandparents at the beginning of the month (I’ve got a big old family), which was so so so lovely.

Get Organised | Do you ever feel like you just need to take a step back and sort your life out? Because that is exactly how I feel right now. I feel like I’m all talk and all ideas, but next to no action. I want to up my game and get organised – schedule tweets, post consistently on my blog and Instagram. Basically I want/ need to get my shit together, pronto.

Start a New Series | I haven’t binge watched a series in what feels like forever. Now that Game of Thrones is over, I don’t know what to do with myself. I’m excited to watch the new series of Narcos and for the return of Stranger Things, but feel like I need to discover a new gem. What series have you loved recently?

Take Time Out | As I mentioned earlier, this month is going to be pretty full on (in a good way of course!). I need to make sure that I carve out some time to focus solely on little old me. You know, paint my nails with a face mask on, rewatching Gossip Girl, that kind of thing.  I might even treat myself to a new book or two (I know, I’m wild).

Autumn Additions | I’d be lying if I said that I’m not excited for a few Autumn additions to grace my life. I can’t wait to get a few new jumpers and to launch operation cosy home. I’m talking, blankets, cushions, candles – the whole shabang. Anyone else practically jumping for joy at the thought? YES YES YES.

What’s on your September to do list?

  • I feel like I really need to purchase a Autumn candle but I haven’t found the perfect one yet! We’ve been watching Designated Survivor and I’ve loved it, definitely worth a watch xx

    • I really need to invest in some lovely Autumn candles. If you find a good one please let me know! Oooh I’ll have a look into that! Thank you xx

Love this post! Taking time out is definitely something I’m doing, it’s so important!!xx

  • Very lovely list! I want to start a new series too – my book club ladies last night highly recommended Line of Duty which I never watched when it was on the tv.
I’m blogging, and enjoying some nice home time, plus it’s my wife’s birthday next week so all lovely stuff!

    • Thank you for reading! I’ve never watched Line of Duty either but I’ve heard so many amazing things about it! Oh lovely! Hope your wife has a lovely birthday xxx

  • Love a seasonal list! I am thinking the same as you… Autumn is the perfect time for a bit of organisation – I always associate it with back to school and getting my shit together! I also cannot wait to head out and get a few new autumnal garms, currently deliberating a new coat for this autumn / winter – they are just so bloody pricey! Immy x

    • You’re so right! I think I always associate it with school and getting my shit together too – always feels like a fresh start. I was saying the exact same thing to my friend at the weekend about coats! They’re so much money & a lot that I’ve had in the past haven’t lasted well! I bought a lovely one from Zara last year which has held out well, but I’m tempted to get another one too! Can’t wait to see your new autumnal garms & updates. xx

  • There’s so much good TV at the moment: Great British Bake Off, Doctor Foster, Gogglebox. There’s a couple of new series that have started on BBC1 and ITV: Rellik and Liar (I haven’t watched either yet but have heard good things). And The Apprentice will start soon I think, as will series 3 of Happy Valley and series 2 of Stranger Things. Good series on Netflix: The Keepers, American Horror Story, Line of Duty, The OA. Hope you find something you enjoy to get into! x

    • There really is! I love GBBO and I’ve never seen Doctor Foster but really want to! I’ve heard it’s AMAZING. Definitely need to watch it. Liar is also meant to be really really good, haven’t heard of Rellik. SO excited for the new series of Stranger Things. Also need to get properly into American Horror Story and Line of Duty. Thank you so much for all of these amazing suggestions! Really helpful xx

  • Good luck with your list! For tv shows, I can recommend Orphan Black and How To Get Away With Murder. Both fantastic shows! If you love a bit of science fiction, then The 100 is definitely your show as well 🙂

    • Thank you so much! Oh yes I started Orphan Black years ago & then stopped watching it for some reason. Will definitely take a look at it though as I’ve heard so many amazing things. Never heard of How To Get Away With Murder but it sounds right up my street. I’ve heard good things about The 100 too so will take a look! Thank you for the amazing recommendations xx

  • yes! im so excited for stranger things to come back, i looove that show!

have you been watching Strike on BBC? there’s only been 3 episodes i think spo far and that’s quite a good one!

    • Me too! It’s amazing isn’t it?

No I haven’t watched it! I’ve heard it’s great so will add that one to the list too.

You’re so right, with a candle and a cosy blanket – there’s just no beating it! xx
